About Joseph A. Glazer, Esq.

Joseph A. Glazer, Esq. is an attorney admitted to practice in all New York State Courts and the federal Northern District of New York. He is a 1989 Graduate of Albany Law School, and currently serves as an adjunct professor with the Graduate School of Russell Sage.

A practicing attorney for more than a decade, Joseph A. Glazer, Esq. is a trained, successful advocate, with more than 20 years of advocacy experience at the local, state and federal levels. He has prosecuted child abuse and neglect in Family Court, and currently serves as a Law Guardian for Schenectady County Family Court. He is a member of the Assigned Counsel list in Albany and Schenectady Counties, part of his focus on mental health, drug, and other specialty diversion/treatment courts.

He has more than 10 years of experience in the health care field, and spent 7 ½ years as President/CEO of the Mental Health Association in New York State, Inc. In that position he established and secured funding to create exemplary programs in the areas of jail diversion, employment, voter empowerment, and best evidence treatments and therapies.

He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of justice and mental health and has appeared on CNN, Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor”, National Public Radio, and other nationally recognized media outlets.
